  2. My Thunderbird account is working....thank to Darcy! It looks like it will be fairly easy to understand. Darcy also made changes on my new computer so that now it looks more like it should, and will probably function more efficiently. It is amazing to watch how fast she can work and get THINGS DONE! Thankfully, she got rid of McAfee and put Emsisoft on there. Wonderful to have someone you can trust to make all these changes and make everything work better. Keep up the good work, Darcy and TC! We need you and appreciate what you do for so many!

  4. Windows Live Mail program is no longer supported by Microsoft and we are finding many are corrupting now. So, if you mean a tech setup Windows Live Mail and put your gmail email account in Live, you should not even use Windows Live. If you mean that a tech setup gmail to check a live email address, you can log in to gmail and go to settings, accounts, and remove it.   6. Hi..I have a new computer, Windows 7, and when my tecn set it up for me he put my Gmail account in with my Windows Live mail and I don't want it there. How do I put it back where it was? Thank you..Oleanna

  8. Hi Jennie We respond to all mail and I can only suggest you check your junk mail/spam folder for responses, or get a free gmail account in case your isp is censoring and deleting your email. I don't have your name or email address as you are "Jennie" here.. so email us via our main form at http://www.thundercloud.net/infoave/new/contact-us-2/ and provide an alternate email address. As far as FolderMagic, it has not changed or updated in many years and continues to work exactly the same, so reinstalling or licensing it does not affect the program if previously installed. Hi Darcy, I had FolderMagic many years ago, probably around 2004, when I had SmileyCons, Calendar Pal and GetSmile etc. I did email three times, but as I had no reply thought I would need to buy again. This is what I have done, but has also caused problems with the previously installed icons. Regards Jennie
  10. You did the right thing - hang up immediately! Don't ask them questions, don't answer their questions. Just hang up. Answer from knitwit is funny.. and actually if you are going to say anything, that is a good response!!   15. I am in U.K. and this type of scam goes around regularly, - I tend to tell the caller "what computer? - I do not have a computer" He soon ends the call!!! I also do not answer calls if I do not recognize the number - and these sort of callers do not leave a message on the answer machine - if someone really had something to say they would leave a message.
  16. I just had a call from someone about my computer.....I told him I was not going to fall for his scam....he said, "No mam this is not a scam, I can give you the address of your computer" . He then told me my name and address. Said I had files on my computer. something about micro error, He wanted me to go the computer and he could show me the files. He said he had been trying to let me know for two weeks, and that is about how long I have had problems! I told him I had had an expert checking my computer yesterday and he found no files. I hung up! Hope I did the right thing. He offered to give me his license number, etc.....
  17. Yesterday, after not being able to connect on Monday, I was able to connect my failing computer with TC. It took a long time with emails back and forth from this old computer before we finally got started. Anyway, TC was very patient and helpful, and spent far more time than I expected. He was able to fix a few things, but the major problem is my hard drive which is certain to fail shortly, and which cannot be fixed except in person. (I do wish he could come by!) He offered good advice which I will follow and do something before the thing finally dies. We all are so lucky, those of us who have been fortunate enough to become acquainted with C8, to have TC and Darcy to inform us of things we need to know about computers, to answer our questions, and to just be there when we need to know something from those whom we KNOW we can trust. So....Thanks to TC and Darcy! The best in the business!!
  18. HI Jennie If you have ordered from us before, and misplace a license, you can just email us and we will resend your original order. As far as Outlook, you can always copy/paste links to browser if the program gives you errors. Would not be able to troubleshoot without knowing lots of details (windows version, av being used, outlook version, browser linked, etc), so a possible easy solution is to have Thunderbird installed and use that for your email. you can do that, or we can: http://thundercloud.net/tbird Darcy, Cloudeight

Hi, I've just bought FolderMagic again as I couldn't locate my key from the first time and I'm having all sorts of problems. i received the notification email of payment and was asked to save it for future reference, but for some reason it will not save. I get the Microsoft Office Outlook error message saying : a file error has occurred (c:\..\ Notification of payment rec..) The links in the email are not working either. Any ideas what's causing this to happen? Thanks for any help Kind Regards Jennie
  20. Just a note for anyone reading this - I connected to Fred and fixed his problem. He accidentally "hid" the menu on messages he was writing. I clicked the ALT key to see the menu bar as it was hidden, then clicked View, and Toolbars and checked Composition Bar, Menu Bar, and Formatting Bar. Darcy

  22. In trying to familiarize myself with the new structure I somehow lost the send button and lost the ability to get the Stationary to work. How can I fix this?

  25. Hello, This morning when I opened my Windows Live Mail....Comcast is my main account...my Gmail account had disappeared! I tried everything I know but it did not appear even after shutting down and starting again. It does appear on the other computer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?
  26. Thanks, I did that and it didn't update, I just uninstalled and reinstalled and reentered my license and all is good now, thanks for your help!
  27. If this has not updated, try a reboot and it should update automatically as long as you have an internet connection. If it does not, email us and we can further advise. Darcy
