Forwarding Thunderbird e-mails

5 posts in this topic

I want to forward an e-mail that I received to a bunch of people.  I know that I can put the names in individually by using the initial of each person or I can create a master list.  I would like to have this procedure like it was in Outlook Express -- you go to the Address Book and click on each name.  Can this be done in Thunderbird?  Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can do that.

Click Write. When the letter pane opens, click View, Contacts Sidebar.  Now click any names you want to add to this mailing.

Darcy - I tried you suggestion and it does not work (for me anyway).  It works if I want to send a e-mail that I'm composing to a bunch of people.  My problem is that I receive an e-mail and I want to forward that e-mail.  I can't use your suggestion as it doesn't pick up the original e-mail that I'm trying to forward.  The only way I found that it works is if I type in the initial and then select the name and then hit enter and put in the next name.   So if I'm forwarding the e-mail to 10 people, I have to do this 10 times.  Very inconvenient.  I hope you have another solution.   Thanks for any help you can give me.

It works exactly them same in any mail window for sending, including forward. Be sure you followed  my instructions, so that your address book is showing on the email as a sidebar.
