Belarc Advisor How reliable are Benchmarks?

Last evening I did a scan with Belarc Advisor and am extremely concerned as to how low that Benchmark was. How does one go about "fixing" all of those issues that had a "red"x next to each individual item??? The explanations are all very good, but no solutions are given as to how to handle possible threats or compromises to the computer.

It really depends on WHERE those red x marks are. Next to windows updates? Next to programs? Next to what? If you would not mind, would you consider sending me the report as an attachment? Use the email option here in the forum. After taking a closer look I may be able to give you a better answer.
Usually BELARC does reflect the correct status of your computer. It's not really a benchmark as such, unless you are talking about comparison data, and it only points your attention to portions in your computer you need to check out. :)

Hi again Daniela,

As far as those "red x's" are concerned, no, they were not at any MS updates or programs. When I get a chance, I will send them to you and really do appreciate that you want to take the time out to help me out with this concern of mine. I will go into the program and run it again to bring the information up later on today.

Have a great day!!

Daniela,

Sorry to bother you again... however, I just checked out the email feature on C8 and am not quite sure how to go about emailing it to you. When you have the chance, could you please explain it to me. Would I have to save it to my hard drive first (that's how I usually send an attachment)and then send it on to you???

Thanks,

Munchkin

Not a problem. Actually my fault, lol. Please check PM - I sent you the info you need for you to be able to send me the Belarc File as an attachment. :)
