I figured out I had the right things on my pc and laptop to upgrade to the AVG Free 9.

Could someone tell me where to go to download, do I have uninstall the 8.5? Will it download right over the 8.5?

Thanks

I have downloaded AVG9 from... http://free.avg.com/ww-en/homepage
The new one is top left of page to download.. I downloaded and installed on top of the old one and had no problems..
Make sure to update it as soon as installed..
Good Luck

Hello!

I updated AVG to 9.0 recently. Since then I've had 2 problems with my computer and don't know if they are related to the upgrade or not. I'd appreciate some suggestions on what to do about:

1. The most recent Windows update which I downloaded but it wouldn't install. Can I try again by just going to the update site where Windows scans my computer and tells me what is needed?

2. My Malwarebytes program which had been running fine now won't update. I try running it and immediately a box shows up that says, "Error code 703 (0,5) please report to the support team". I googled this error but honestly, it's beyond my realm of knowledge to know what to do!

I've read that AVG is not a good program, but when reading about uninstalling it, even that seems difficult. I'm talking about having to download a special tool from them to uninstall their program to make sure all pieces are deleted. Do you have to run that seperate or first before using the install/uninstall on my computer? Sure is complicated, or maybe I'm just making it seem that way!
